Standby Buster saves you money by making it easy for you to switch off appliances that would normally stay in standby. You could achieve the same result by unplugging appliances or switching the socket off but electrical sockets are often tucked away and difficult to get at: Standby Buster lets you switch the sockets on and off by remote control.

Don't waste electricity

As you are probably aware, audio and video appliances such as TVs, DVDs and stereo hi-fi systems are usually left in standby and consuming electricity even when not being used: other appliances PVRs (Personal Video Recorders such as Sky+) and digital TV adapters are unnecessarily left on all of the time. You may not be aware that washing machines, dishwashers, tumble driers and microwave ovens also use electricity unless they are switched off or unplugged.
