The location of these sockets makes unplugging appliances difficult, particularly so for more elderly or less able people.

Because Standby Buster works by remote control, appliances can be effectively ‘unplugged’ from the any convenient location such as your armchair. The type of remote control used (Radio Frequency as opposed to Infra Red) is not significantly impaired by furniture or appliances being in the way.
